The GenTAC Alliance’s Basic and Translational Science Working Group hosted a webinar on January 16, 2025, titled “Genetic Variation in Bicuspid Aortic Valve and Its Role in Aortic Stenosis and Aneurysmal Disease.”  

During this webinar, Dr. Simon Body of Boston University shared the recent results of a large multi-center study on the genetic associations with bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) disease. He also covered the implications of these findings for the observed high frequency of calcific aortic valve disease and aortic aneurysm in individuals with BAV.
